My name is Erik!
I’ve been photographing/ filming weddings for several years now. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 9 years. Together we have two giant house hippos. A 4 year old pity (Charlie, seen in the photo) and a 8 year old (Rey). They are our children with four legs! We work hard so that they can live the good life.
We are mostly the stay at home and watch a good movie kind of people, but we do love getting outside when it’s nice (which in Missouri isn’t all that often) to go camping, hiking, golfing, swimming and more.
I started doing wedding videos and slowly evolved into doing primarily photography over the years. I really enjoy wedding days and seeing how different cultures celebrate the day and their different traditions. Plus I get to hang out with happy people all day! Your wedding day is supposed to be the most important day in you life, and I really enjoy being a part of it and capturing everything from the little moments to the big memories that you’ll never forget!

Key Things to know
I (Erik) am at every single wedding I book and I think that is important! The bride will spend more time with the photographer than she will spend with their spouse-to-be the day of the wedding, so it’s vital that you make sure that your photographer is someone you get along with. When you book with Apex Studios, you will know who is showing up on your wedding day. I don’t book 10 weddings a weekend and send a random team of photographers out. I book a limited number of weddings and make sure to personally be the one there you can rely on.
All photography packages come with a free engagement photo shoot prior to the wedding. You get to know me, I get to know you and we learn how to work with each other. This gives me a chance to help teach you some of the poses we will use, and allow you to get comfortable being in front of my camera lens.
I do not limit coverage time on the wedding day. No trying to fit the most important day of your life into 6 or 8 hours. I am there from the moment you want me to show up; all the way to the moment you don’t. As a photographer, you cannot capture the morning details of bride prep and the late evening events of the reception in 6 or 8 hours, at least not effectively. This gives you peace of mind knowing I can take my time and can give you the best results possible.
